Citibank-YMCA Youth For Cause Project 2006

Citibank-YMCA Youth For Cause is essentially a social entrepreneurship program that provides seed funding to youths to develop creative ideas to promote a social cause of their choice, and raise funds for charitable organizations. Last year, ASHRAE Student Branch ITE College East had successfully utilized the granted seed funding of $1600 to conduct the activities.

This year, ASHRAE Student Branch ITE College East students again participated in the project. Once again they have written the proposal and gotten the seed funding. The ITE students worked with the Tanglin School students to raise fund. Ultimately, the fund raised was to donate to Tanglin School for their student development program.

In order to raise more fund for this year project, the students have expanded their technical services to include servicing electrical fixtures and lightings, cleaning the sanitary appliances on top of the air conditioning units servicing.

This year project received immaculate good comments and this has indirectly inspired the students to move further in year to come.
