| ITE-CDAC ACTIVITY ON DEC 8TH 2002
On the 8th Dec 2002 ,CDAC ( Chinese Development
Assistance Council) of Singapore organised a Skills Training
Day. The objective of this event is to promote the awareness
among the public of the courses and seminars which are sponsored
by CDAC. On the CDAC Skills Training Day, the public can find
out more about the wide selection of courses available at
established training centres such as Institute of Technical
Education, Singapore Hotel Association Training and Education
Centre, Baking Industry Training Centre and etc.
ITE ASHRAE was invited by CDAC to give a talk cum demo on
air-con servicing and maintenance. Student members were given
the opportunity to show the public how to service a split
unit air-con and to trouble shoot a faulty air-con unit.
The students also showed the public some general tools and
equipment needed before servicing an air-con unit, for example,
manifold gauges, vacuum cleaners , screw drivers , water hoses
etc.
The branch advisor, Mr Derrick Cheong was there to answer
questions from the public on air-con matters.
